Nominees Needed for AWSI Board of Directors

There are four seats up for reelection this year on the board of directors.

Current board of directors including seats up for re-election:

Doug Hopkins, Northsports - board seat up

Steve Gates, Big Winds - board seat up

Ralph Ruffolo, Southport Rigging - board seat up

Brian Goldesberry, Kiteworld Magazine - board seat up

Greg Kish, Slingshot

Gary Siskar, Liquid Force

Matt Aiken, SBC Media  

Nominees must be current AWSI members and can represent kite, windsurf, and/or SUP manufacturers, retailers, schools, or media. Nominees must give permission for their nomination and will be accepted through November 10th. Elections will take place November 10th - 20th.

Section 1- Board Role, Size, and Compensation: The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall policy and direction of the association, and delegates’ responsibility of day-to-day operations to the staff and committees.  The board shall have seven members.  The board receives no compensation other than reasonable expenses. 

Section 2- Terms: All Board members shall serve staggered two-year terms, and shall be eligible for reelection.
