Thanks to all who attended the 2010 AWSI Demo!

Sept. 20 Event Report! Despite unusual wet and gray conditions, retailers from across North and South America attended this year's event with vigor and excitement for 2011! There was lots of networking, meetings, SUPpin, wakeboarding, and post-function parties! The AWSI will be evaluating locations and options for the 2012 annual event.

The AWSI Kite, Wind, & SUP Demo is an industry-only event, providing the stage for kiteboarding, windsurfing, and Standup Paddle manufacturers and retailers to engage in 2011 gear previews and demos, as well a setting for industry discussion, networking, and evening socials.

We would like to thank the Port of Hood River for their support of this event through event site sponsorship. We  are very thankful for the Port's efforts to initiate, promote and maintain quality of life and a healthy economy throughout the Port District and the Columbia River Gorge.

Last year’s event brought three days of sun, wind, swell, and flatwater for attendees to ride and test everything from trainer kites and windsurfing rigs to SUP raceboards. Over 100 retailers visited 53 brands representing wind, kite and SUP. 

The Hood River Event Site offers an ideal setting for the AWSI event with a grassy open area directly on the beach with bathrooms, food options, free parking on-site, and all other accommodations, bars & restaurants, meeting spaces and services just minutes away. A huge thank you to The Port of Hood River who has helped make this event possible by donating the Hood River Event Site for the AWSI Event.
